- What software do I need
to use Scotland’s Culture?
Scotland’s Culture requires
users to have Internet Explorer version 5 or above or
Netscape Navigator 7 or above. Operating systems such
as Windows 98 or above are also required. Some of the
sites that can be accessed from this site may require
additional software or plug-ins.
- Is my institution's
firewall blocking Scotland’s Culture?
Some users may find that parts
of Scotland’s Culture are inaccessible from within
an institution that has firewall protection. This may
be because parts of Scotland’s Culture use an untypical
port number (8000). To rectify this you should contact
your IT department who will be able address the problem.
