To view more information about
a particular item listed in your search results, Scotland's
Culture can display information contained in the item record.
Information about the resources title, author, who published
the resource when and what subjects are covered within the
resource.
From the item display, links to more items by the same author
or related subjects within the library catalogue are available.
If you want to search the World Wide Web there are links from
the item display using some of Scotland's Culture related
subject terms under the heading "Search
the Web". To
view information for a specific item:
- Search for a library item.
- Scotland's Culture returns your
search results as a list of titles.
- Click the title of the item.
- Scotland's Culture displays information
for the title.
After viewing information about
a specific item, you can:
- Add the item to My List.
- Email information about
the item.

Scotland's Culture help pages
are displayed in a new browser window. You may wish to keep
the new window open for further reference, or close it to
reduce clutter. You can always display this guide again
from the Sitemap page,
along with all other help pages.
Some users may find that parts of Scotland’s Culture
are inaccessible from within an institution that has firewall
protection. This may be because parts of Scotland’s
Culture use an untypical port number (8000). To rectify
this you should contact your IT department who will be able
address the problem.
