About

The project aims to make available the published works of Scotland, past present and future. A resource for both libraries and readers, nationally and worldwide.

Title information provided will:
• Make pre-publication data available for order purposes.
• Stimulate demand by raising awareness of Scottish publications.
• Ensure bibliographic accuracy for ordering and cataloguing.
• Make links to selected suppliers on-line.

The data is currently drawn from three sources:

1. Bibliographic Data Services (BDS) provide library quality records, with up to date price and availability information, annotation and MARC data, for items published since 1997.
2. The Bibliography of Scotland (BOS) is Scotland’s national bibliography and contains over 70,000 records of books, periodicals and major articles of Scottish interest published all over the world, dating from 1976.
3. The Bibliography of Scottish Gaelic (BSG).

Scottish Publishers Association
For title selection and ordering purposes, the Scottish Publishers Association will launch a fully interactive, secure e-commerce facility in the summer of 2005, providing an on-line book store for Scottish books.
The current service shown here provides an interim search and selection tool with links to key suppliers
